On Jesse

It has come to my attention that only about half of the people who know me know Jesse, so let me introduce him to all of you.

His name is Jesse (no duh). I will restrain myself from his full name out of fear for his safety. He is 16 years old as of right now, his birthday being on April 10, 11 days before mine. Technically a year and 11 days, but whatever. Yes, that makes him an Aries, for those of you who care about astrology. While he is only 16, he does not look like that. Last year when I first met him, I thought he was a senior, or even a super senior. He loves weightlifting (you could say he is addicted to it, almost), and that shows. Of course, he also likes to eat, so it's not all defined. He is rather tall (but everybody is tall to me, so don't take my word for it) and, like I already mentioned, kind of larger. This enormity is actually kind of nice; because of his size, his hugs make me feel safe, like nothing can hurt me. To be completely honest, the security I feel when with him is only partly due to the fact that he is physically capable of protecting me. While that does play a role, I also contribute his safe hold status to the fact that he is the single most caring person I have ever known. He cares greatly about everybody, even random strangers he meets online. I have tried to tell him that being too caring is a fault, to which he replied that if caring too much is a sin, he would gladly go to Hell, for any heaven that doesn't allow the caring man in is not a heaven for him. I suppose his complete care for other people can be considered rather shocking. If you know Jesse, you would know why. His look evokes fear. Yes, he is large, but he also dresses in a different way. His style consists of bright parachute pants with chains and zippers all over the place. He likes to wear spikes and safety pins as well. He naturally has this reddish-brown hair, but the last time I saw him it was dyed black. He has it cut like a mohawk, but only sometimes actually wears it like so. More often than not, his hair is combed down over his left. Sometimes he has small braids in his hair with little skull beads on it. Sometimes he has henna tattoo on the bald parts of his head. Despite his shocking appearance, he is incredibly smart. Sure, he is a little old for his grade, but that was not entirely his fault (but rather a result of bad timing for bad things to happen to him; don't ask). He takes honors courses and strives for straight a's, which is always very possible for him to achieve. He has a wonderful way with words, being incredibly poetic (his fantasies are among some of the most erotic lit I have ever read, not that I read erotic literature much and not that I ask to hear them, that is just something that results from teasing each other incessantly). He recently started dating this girl named Zoe, who is just like him except 1) she is female and 2) she is tiny. Oh, and she also just barely turned 15. She is wonderful for him, bringing him strength and something to look forward to in his day. After all that Jesse has gone through, he really deserves somebody like Zoe.

1. His eyes are green
2. He fences
3. He is flexible (especially for a man...)
4. He is considering going into a psychology field of study
5. He can tell by looking at how two people sit and act around each other if they are sleeping together (weird but true)
6. He can tell some really strange things about people just by the way they talk about things, as in, their tone and word choice. In this way he knows more about people than he really wants to know (example: sadomasochism...)
7. He wants to deck both Evan and my sister for untold reasons
8. He keeps his phone on completely silent- no vibration or sound at all- during school and only checks it before school starts, during lunch, and after school
9. He is more a meat and potatoes guy (over vegetarian), out of which he prefers meat over potatoes.
10. His choice meat is steak, medium rare.
11. He describes himself as a "crazy goth kid"
12. He is "addicted to knowledge" as he puts it
13. He "LOVES" Phantom of the Opera
14. Between the Softcell version of "Tainted Love" and Marilyn Manson, he goes for Manson.
15. He likes crazy techno music as well as heavy metal
16. If he could only listen to one song ever again it would be "Stairway to Heaven"
17. Whenever he listens to that song in #16, his mind clears.
18. He also really likes Nightwish and considers "Higher than Hope" to be very powerful.
19. He likes Shakespeare
    
20. He likes pie
21. He doesn't like to take any medicine, prefering to get over illnesses on his own.
    

I know plenty more, but you get a general idea of what he is like.
